Attorney O'Malley has been trying and negotiating criminal cases, including juvenile cases, since 1982 when he was appointed to serve as an Assistant District Attorney In Middlesex County Massachusetts. Attorney O'Malley's years as a prosecutor gave him a unique prospective, access and insight into the Commonwealth's approach to criminal cases.

Attorney O'Malley knows and works daily within local court systems, dealing directly with the personal therein. The Counties he has worked in include extensive experience in Middlesex, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk Counties and experience in Barnstable and Worcester Counties. Attorney O'Malley has represented clients in hundreds of OUI / drunk driving matters from simple to complex including those involving deaths, (motor vehicle homicides). He has consistently remained active in representing clients in minor motor vehicle and traffic ticket cases in District Court while maintaining an active criminal trial and plea negotiation practice at every level.

Attorney O'Malley has worked in the area of same sex relationships and break-ups for over seven years,performing service in negotiation breakups, child custody and visitation, real estate and or personal property division, and buy outs.  This experience prepared him well to deal with potential gay and lesbian marriage issues.

Attorney O'Malley has had the distinct pleasure of representing adoptive parents before the Probate and Family Court through the entire process.

Guardianships:

Attorney O'Malley has represented clients from all sides in Guardianship issues.  In 2003 he successfully represented a grandfather seeking custody of his 10 year old abused grandson from the mother.  He has experience in every aspect of guardianship matters.

Co-Habitation Issues:

Attorney O'Malley has experience in the wide range of issues involved in unmarried couples relationships from Cohabitation Agreements to Separation negotiations in court contested issues in Equity Court or Probate Court.
